The Virginia State Police public registry provides the official public search experience for Virginia. Open the registry in a new tab and verify the current record there.
Registry non-disclosure concerns
If a SafeReport concern involves a person allegedly failing to disclose a sex-offender registration status, the report should identify the official registry source used for that claim. A registry source does not by itself establish any separate misconduct.
Human identity review
Names can be shared by multiple people. SafeReport reviewers should compare official registry details with the person being reported before treating two records as the same person.
Privacy boundary
Private reports, reporter identities, evidence, and internal case records remain outside search indexing. This public page is educational only.
